Thermo 43C You're bidding on a Thermo Environmental 43C SO2 Analyzer! The Thermo 43C measures the concentration of SO2 by measuring the fluorescence of molecules excited by pulsed UV. This analyzer is microprocessor controlled, and continually checks operating parameters such as temperature, flow, and critical voltages at the PMT and lamp. It features an internal sample pump, single and dual range modes, user programmable temperature and pressure correction, and built-in test, diagnostic, and service, and calibration modes that allow the user to check and maintain optimum performance. It also has an RS232 port to allow control, programming, data upload to a PC, or connection to another analyzer in a daisy-chain configuration. This unit was recently decommissioned from an air quality agency. It is super clean internally, probably the cleanest used analyzer I've ever seen, and I suspect it was used in a lab rather than the field. It has some minor scratches on the top cover, but it is in excellent condition overall. This analyzer has been continuously tested for several days, and the subsystems were checked at various intervals using the integrated test functions. The values for all system components are within the parameters given in the manual, and all controls and functions operate correctly. The system displayed excellent stability and responded to changes in the sample mixture with consistent, repeatable measurements. No alarms were shown during the duration of the test period, but alarm conditions were forced and the unit correctly detected and responded. This unit has automatic lamp voltage adjustment to compensate for lamp degradation; the lamp voltage is running at about 850 volts, well below the 1200 volt maximum, so the lamp should have quite a bit of service life.
