Description/Specifications: Thermo Forma 8523 Ultra-Low Temperature Laboratory Freezer Minus 86 VIDEO for this freezer: https://youtu.be/QaTima6skyU This is a well maintained and functional Thermo Forma 8523 Ultra-Low Temperature Laboratory Freezer in good working conditions with a large storage capacity of 23 cu. ft, enviro-scan microprocessor, digital LCD display, RS-232 computer interface, remote alarm connector, and peak control system. This freezer has been just recently calibrated and validated on Apr. 2021 to verify and guarantee the accuracy of temperature controls and readouts of the freezer. This freezer reaches the setup temperature of -80 oC and holds temperature within the manufacturer specified range. The freezer has clean internal chamber with ready-to-use conditions. Operating manual and datasheet of the freezer will be provided to the buyer (electronical versions). Please see all photos and video for detailed functionality and cosmetic conditions. The freezer is currently located in our high tech testing facility in Northern VA. Easy Setup, Programming and Monitoring: Enviro-Scan Microprocessor Control/Monitoring System incorporates a sensi-touch keypad, a digital display, and audible and visual indicators to ensures that all controls and displays are easy to reach and read, and keep the users informed of all freezer functions. RS-232 port permits computer interface and monitoring of temperature and alarms. Remote alarm contacts are located on the rear of the freezer base for easy connection to an in-house security system of monitor/alarm systems. Independent temperature control system: The monitor /alarm and temperature control systems are totally independent of each other. The probes for the Enviro-Scan are located in the freezer chamber to show the actual temperature where the product is stored. Temperature is digitally displayed on an easy-to-read LCD. Tamper-resistant controller prohibits setpoint alteration, and limiting devices have been incorporated to prevent setpoints below the freezer's operating range. Should the temperature control probe fail, the refrigeration system locks on to ensure product protection.
