ID# 700 The Thermo Scientific MaxQ 2000 Shaker provides smooth agitation of full or unbalanced loads, at gentle or high speeds, and can handle up to 35 lbs. The triple eccentric drive enables continuous operation for solubility studies, cell cultures, diagnostic tests, extraction procedures, general mixing, bacterial suspensions and many more applications.  The Thermo Scientific MaxQ 2000 Shaker has a powder coated, cold rolled steel exterior and can operate in environments from general purpose incubators, environmental chambers or even refrigerators. With variable speed control this shaker instrument operates with a solid state, brushless DC motor and a slow start function to eliminate splashing of contents or wetting of the flask closure. Speed is adjustable in 1 rpm increments. Where verification is necessary, and protocols can be standardized, the user adjustable speed calibration can be performed using a digital handheld tachometer. The Thermo Scientific MaxQ 2000 Shaker can run continuously 24hrs a day or can be timed, from 0.1 to 999 minutes or 0.1 to 999 hours. In the event of a power failure, a setpoint retention retains parameters, and restarts the shaker instrument automatically once power has been restored. Audio and visual alarms are in place to indicate a speed deviation of ±10% of setpoint and an unbalanced load sensor stops the platform when excess vibration is registered.
