The double-junction reference system of this electrode avoids contact with silver ions, prolonging its life and making it ideal for use with samples containing silver complexing or binding agents. Glass body electrodes are highly resistant to corrosion and are useful in corrosive environments, or around proteins and other compounds with high surface tension. This electrode features a pH range of 0 to 14 (+ or - 0.01) and a temperature range of 0 to 100 degrees C. It measures the acidity or alkalinity of a substance by sensing hydrogen ions and generating a millivoltage that is picked up by the filling solution and transferred to a wire that connects to the pH meter. The Thermo Scientific Orion 8102BN ROSS Ultra pH electrode offers accurate and reliable pH measurement with its glass body and ceramic junction. With a BNC connection and a 1m (39") cable, it can easily be used with any pH meter with a BNC or U.S. standard connection. This electrode comes with a patented internal reference system that minimizes drift and equilibrium time, and an extended warranty of up to 24 months. Thermo Fisher Scientific, the manufacturer of this electrode, offers analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, consumables, and software under the Thermo Scientific and Fisher Scientific brands, among others. This electrode comes with a 60 ml bottle of ORION ROSS fill Solution, 810007, and buffer and storage solutions are sold separately.
