Thomas & Betts [T&B] WT186F Ty-Rap® Installation Tool   This eBay listing is for a Thomas & Betts T&B WT186F Ty-Rap® Installation Tool. This is an older style tool designed for use on the TY27M – TY29M cross-section size Ty-Rap®. It is of plier design, simple to use but it did require user practice to learn to use just the right amount of pressure/pull on the cable tie before completely depressing the handles. The tool did not have a built in tension detector that automatically cut off the excess tail. Proper use of the tool was entirely dependent on user feel. It is in excellent and perfect working condition. The tool has the MilSpec MS-17823-2 number shown on it. Use it as you would any other cable tie tool or if you are a collector of unusual and/or older style tools this one is for you. The WT186F can safely and easily be used to install the strongest of the T&B Ty-Rap® cable ties. The WT186F can safely be called an antique tool in the world of T&B Ty-Rap® cable ties. Although of an older design many users prefer this tool because of its ruggedness and simplicity of use. We, the seller, assume no liability or responsibility for the improper use or malfunction of this tool.
