* * TIF 5500 Freon Halogen Leak Detector in Case ~ Automatic Setting /w Insts & Extra Tip For auction this TIF Model 5500 AC&R Freon Automatic Pump Style Halogen Leak Detector for finding those freon leaks a/c, refrig, freezer, auto a/c ...etc .. Model TIF 5500. Comes in the Case with extra rubber coned tip stored in battery compartment and a carry case with handle. Requires 2 "C" Cell batteries for operation which is NOT included in this auction... This item comes from local estate of auto mechanic shop. It has been stored up a number of years years. Good part the batteries were NOT left in so there is no corrosion in batt compartment. I borrowed couple C cells from my home flashlight installed and checked. It fires up, LED lights up, and buzzes just like it supposed to. It does/did react to surrounding freon but I didnt look or find any leaks!!.. There is a small place to plug in ear phones but not sure if this item came with them or was extra. In anycase I didnt get any. Small hand held simple operation with instructions on side. All you need to start looking is 2 "C" batteries and a lot of patience!!.. I used to do a little of this but never had or used this model.. Item size/weight: Actual weight as shown 1 pound 5 oz. Detector in case about 9-1/2" by 4-1/2" ..Shipping weight calculated 1-2 pounds. Shipping cost for this item is calculated by weight & size to your zip from 38260.
