For sale is a TIMING BUTTON for an AMBAC P/N: 50-2/4A-80A-9540A, M50 or PSU Metering and distributing fuel pumps.  This pump fits the 5KW MEP-002a and 10KW MEP-003a military diesel generators and other applications that use the same type Onan DJ engine. BOTH NEW AND MOST REBUILT PUMPS ARE SOLD WITHOUT THE TIMING BUTTON SINCE EACH ENGINE/PUMP COMBINATION MUST HAVE A SPECIFIC TIMING BUTTON INSTALLED FOR THAT COMBINATION. YOU WILL RECEIVE THE CORRECT TIMING BUTTON FOR YOUR APPLICATION.  You will need to provide me with the port closing dimension that is marked on one edge of the mounting flange of your old pump, and the letter or number of the timing button from your old pump.  I WILL ALSO NEED THE PORT CLOSING DIMENSION FROM YOUR REPLACEMENT PUMP.  This is very important, since these pumps must have the correct timing button installed so the injection timing is correct for your particular engine.  ALTERNATIVELY, YOU CAN JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT TIMING BUTTON CODE YOU NEED. THIS SALE IS FOR THE TIMING BUTTON ONLY. Please note:  The thicker buttons, numbers 12 through 16 are by far the most popular ones (about 98% of my sales).  I will run out of these first and do not know if more of them will become available to me.  When I run out of a particular size, I will post that information to my listing.
