I bought this cider shed from a farmer in Indiana and I'm having it disassembled. It is 25'x16'x19' with a hatch to a stand up loft. The best we can date it- is from the mid 1800's due to the hand hewn posts and beams. The exterior cladding is made up of 4" hand shaped teardrop siding. All the wood was most likely harvested on site and I'm working on figuring out what it consist of primarily. The nails are rosehead nails that were either hand made or early machine made, you can tell they are low carbon and early b/c they leave black spot around them vs red rust of more modern steel nails. The first floor has a ceiling height of around 9.9' and building is 19' at the peak. I did a 360 lidar scan (purplish pic) of the entire building so that it can be laid out in CAD by a designer or architect for footings, floorplans, etc. I will be traveling back up to tag everything before disassembly. Asking $35k delivered to your door. The roof is on it's last leg so if you are interested these slate shingles are about to be taken down and can be used on this project if desired. Beam shown in first picture has a bow in it b/c right hand post has slipped off the foundation, once it is taken down and load taken off of it, it can be flipped over and should straighten out just fine. There is some rot near the large door on the right side sill plate beam, it would need to most likely be replaced or sill beams could all be taken out if you don't plan on putting a raised floor in this project. If you are going to place directly on a pad, you would probably go back with pressure treated sill plates anyway and these could be used elsewhere in the project as accent pieces. All care will be taken to remove all the wood without breaking anything but with anything this age it can be stubborn and may experience some loss, just fyi.
