This is a very nice new in the box photomultiplier tube that will make a nice scintillation detector for my Ludlum geiger counter. It is a 15mm dia photocathode, head-on type, Bialkali photocathode. The maximum spectral response is 300 to 650 nm, peaking near 435nm, originally designed for NaI or plastic scintillator based detector probes. It needs 580 to 1250V; best at 1100v to work. Included also are the parts to make a voltage divider to use it with most common geiger counters. Google: Paint Can Scintillator to set this tube up as an extremely sensitive yet inexpensive to build probe for most common geiger counters. It is more sensitive than many thousand plus dollar probes too. See my other listings for scintillation material that would work well with this tube. This item is very hard to find. I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week.
