TO-3 Ceramic Power Transistor Insulators mica NEW Suitable for ALL transistors with TO-3 package Thickness: 2mm = 0.079 inch. Made in early 1980s. Material type: I'm not sure about the material type of these ceramic pads. My supplier and a few tests I personally made in 2012 suggested they should be Beryllium oxide (BeO). The factory which made them was known to use only BeO at the time they were produced. But a couple of buyers said they are Aluminum Oxide (AlO). The weight of one pad is approximately 5.5g. One of my buyers calculated that the density of these ceramic pads is about 3.5-3.7 g/cc, which is in between BeO and AlO. The information is controversial and I don't want to argue when I'm not 100% sure, so here are the facts that I know, please choose for yourself. The ceramic pads still do their job perfectly well by providing excellent electrical insulation and great heat conductivity. The price is for 10 pieces.
