General Description: TOA’s portable meeting amplifiers are the perfect choice when you need a small, easy-to-use public address system for meetings, lectures, conferences and classrooms, Truly portable, the WA-641 systems each contain a powerful 15 Watt amplifier with an 8” two-way speaker in one lightweight, compact enclosure. One system comfortably covers an audience ranging from half a dozen to more than 100 people, delivering clear, intelligible sound with very low distortion. For versatility, the meeting amps include four inputs three for low impedance microphones and one auxiliary line level, which accepts signals from an external tuner, tape or CD player. Each input has its own volume control for true multiple input mixing, and an overall tone control adjusts for the best response in speech or music. A 1/4” recording/line out jack can feed either a tape recorder or an external amplifier and speaker. A second WA-641 can be fed from this output to cover larger crowds. An exciting option you can add to your system at any time is the freedom of wireless microphone operation. Choose one or two of TOA’s hand-held, lapel or headset wireless microphones, depending upon your system needs. All of TOA’s wireless systems use our proprietary tone key circuitry to block out interference from other radio signals. To facilitate wireless operation, the system has an RF signal presence indicator for each wireless input, plus an integral, telescoping whip antenna. An optional built-in cassette tape recorder is included when you order the WA-641C model. Using the cassette option, you can record and save a presentation or include pre-recorded music or other audio in your presentation. An AGC (automatic gain control) circuit, which automatically adjusts for the proper recording level, ensures your recordings are mistake and distortion free. Use any of three versatile power sources with your portable amplifier — 120 V AC plug, eight “D” batteries, or external DC source, such as a 12 V car battery. An LED indicator shows the power on/off status. Durable yet lightweight, the WA-641 weighs in at less than 20 pounds.
