One of my personal tools, purchased second-hand more than 30 years ago, cared for and used carefully. (1 1/4" die was used with a pipe wrench [before I bought it!] and is somewhat scarred, but works perfectly.) Comes with dies to thread 1" and 1 1/4" pipe (can use additional sizes), this ratchet threading tool is remarkably simple and compact. It reaches the corner job where other tools don't work well. Easy to operate, produces perfectly tapered threads with a few easy strokes of the ratchet handle. Dies are changed instantly by pulling the pawl and dropping one die-head out or another size in, ready for use. When dull, the chasers may be easily removed and reground, or replaced. Always use plenty of cutting oil when threading pipe! Handle removed from the head for shipping. This item comes from a well maintained shop.
