I am a retired Service Technican of Topcon and Sokkia Survey equipmentand any chance I get to do work on the side or pick up gear like this to resell I go through it and test it making sure it works as it was intended. This system I replaced the 4 batteries with higher capacity 5200 mAH as I’ve found they perform much better for operating time. I disassembled both heads and checked internally for any moisture or corrosion damage and as you can see in the pictures they are mint inside, very very clean which is unusual but then again the outside condition sort of told me that anyway. Outside of battery replacement and doing a overall check and reseat of boards,cables and connectors everything was perfect. The Data Collector listed here FC250 was not part of the original system as the previous owner kept his FC500 to go with his new system so I had this FC250 that I’m putting in with the kit to make it a system. All you will require is a Tripod 2M Rover Pole and a Pole Bracket for the FC250 so these three items are not included !! In the pictures you will see I had the Base laid flat on the ground in the tribrach and took a shot calling it point 100 Fixed position and then I drove up to the end of our wooded road approx 1 klm and took anther shot point 101 and the Radio was at 98/99 % again in the pictures and as you can see I check the Inverse between 100 & 101 which showed HDist of 1256 meters. I have sold a number of these systems and as you can see from my Rating it’s 100% and looking at other units or systems on here none are in the condition as mine I guarantee It if you look closely at pics. What’s in the pictures relating to this system is what’s included. These Topcon Hiper GA Units are in my opinion one of the best units that Topcon ever built very rugged and long lasting. Note I have sealed the USB ports on both units because they are identical to the power ports and it has been known that people accidentally plug the power cord into the USB port burning up the Power Board rendering the units unable to charge or power up. “I would say Hiper GA is an 8 out of 10 in nice condition with very minor marks just your usual scratches and normal wear and tear. The FC250 I’d say 6-7 out of 10 with normal wear and tear so look at the pics and ask question or request extra pics if needed before bidding.”
