Torchmate 3 CNC Plasma Table, Hypertherm 1000, Water Table, Tube Cutter, THC, Spare Parts This unit has roughly just 12 hours of cut time on it in total. You read that correctly. It is nearly brand new and has been stored in our storage bay. It also comes with Torchmate's pipe and tube cutting attachment, consumables and more! This item was built so that the water table could be rolled out away from the gantry and all the electrical for clean up, or just for ease of moving it around if needed. The casters are twice the rated weight the machine needs even when full of water. The table can easily be rolled around the shop when full of water with the casters. The casters do have a 5/8" plate that they sit on. The whole machine is very much over built and ready for industrial production. CUSTOM BUILT TABLE: This table is sturdier than several of these machines would need. The Torchmate kit started out as a 4’ by 8’ kit but the table was built to a total length of 6 foot by 12 foot. It has side runners made out of 3” by 6” steel!! The legs are 3” by 3” thick wall steel. The casters are very heavy duty steel casters with industrial rubber coating. The X axis motors and gear racks are outside the frame rails on both sides of the machine, and are protected by a 1" steel rail overhang. The design of the table itself is one of it’s greatest features. It is actually 2 tables in one - the water table is the inside table which has a water bed that is 5 inches deep. The cutting slats are fixed in the water table and can be removed and new ones installed. This table has it’s own set of casters and will unbolt from the main table and roll away. It will do this so that the water table can be rolled away from the main table which has all the electronics and gantry fixed to it. You can easily completely unbolt the water table and simply roll it away for clean up or easy moving. The main table is shaped like a square horseshoe. It holds the gantry and all the electronics. The two tables are bolted together so that there is no play in the cutting (so when one table moves the other is fixed to it) everything is square and level for the cutting as if it were one table when bolted together. The water table has a drain under the bottom front of the tank for easy draining and cleaning. There are steel hooks under the table to hang the wiring and air hoses from the plasma on so they don’t have to lay on the floor. All the welding was professionally done and the table was also professionally built to ensure everything was exactly square and on the level. The dropped rail on the near side permits easy forklift loading of material. Rail system is sufficiently long to permit the gantry to be moved to the end of the table for loading of material. This machine is almost a brand new machine. It only has 12 hours of cut time on it. It's practically brand new. It DOES have all the bells and whistles including the pipe cutting attachment which is an extra attachment to itself not included in the TM3 kit, the torch height control, and all the computer control system parts. The TM3 kit you buy comes with none of this or the plasma cutter and machine head. If you were to buy the basic TM3 kit, you get a kit WITHOUT a plasma, machine head, computer system or the pipe cutting attachment (not to mention the water table that is not officially offered). Have you ever dealt with plasma smoke in a closed building? It's bad. We could run this machine year round with the A/C or heat on and the smoke is never a problem. If you built this machine exactly like this it would cost you $16,900 for just the parts. This DOES NOT include the labor and welding of the table which took 2 weeks to construct to perfectly square so the machine will run true on it, the 100's of ready to cut dxf files already loaded on the machine and ready to go, or the hundreds of dollars in plasma consumables that are included with the machine. Buying a similar machine from Torchmate today (now owned and supported by Lincoln Electric) would cost you well over $25,000. Not including ANY of this and not to mention the learning curve and bugs to work out of the machine and many hours it took to do so to get all the drawings ready to cut you get with the machine that is done. Don't start with a kit. This unit will get you started quickly and with a rock solid setup right from the beginning. The machine itself is a 4'X8' TM3 as listed and will cut 4 foot wide by as long as you want to go if you will feed the material through manually. The standard sheet it will cut without manually moving the material is 4'X 8'. The reason the table was constructed as it was is that if we ever wanted to add on to the table all we would have to do would be build an additional 2nd water table and purchase more gear rails for the drive motors to run on. Also the outside table had to be wider and longer due to it being a water table. This is the biggest reason why the table ended up roughly 6' X 12'. The EXACT size of the machine is 69" (inches) wide X 11' (foot) long X 41" (inches) tall on it's tallest side. This is it's most outside measurements, in other words, the biggest it's actual shop floor footprint is. The rough measurement guidelines call for about 6' X 12'. That is a a rough floor size we had on the build blueprints. This is the floor space it takes up ROUGHLY on the shop floor. Also included is the Profile Lab drawing program and all instructions and manuals. Also saved on the machine are over 200 parts and drawings I have prepared myself and cut. You are welcome to these as well. These can be used as examples or parts you can reproduce yourself. A set of Genuine Hypertherm FineCut consumables is also included, for higher definition cutting. The plasma unit is a Hypertherm Powermax 1000 and includes the machine torch which is mounted on the gantry, AND the hand held torch as well. You will be able to swap the plasma from the table and connect the hand held torch up and use it around the shop. This machine is rated to sever cut up to 1-1/4” metal!! I have cut 1/2” material cleanly by hand with it. Also included is a full face shield, protective leathers and gloves as well as consumables for the hand torch. Also included is a custom welded trolley for the Hypertherm Powermax 1000 unit, to easily be able to roll it around. The computer is a Dell PC with Windows and includes 4 USB ports. Also includes LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse, and computer cart, as well as a rack mount sized APC UPS (uninterruptable power supply) device to both filter incoming power and also to prevent any issues if the power goes out in the middle of a job by supplying battery backup to the control system and all of the associated drive electronics. Software is Profilelab and Torchmate's own software package. Printed manuals are included, as well as general usage instructions and collected tips and details. All of the cables and connections have been labeled, to greatly speed up reconnection of any cables and to ensure everything reconnects correctly. This listing comes with multiple tip shields, nozzles, electrodes, fine cut nozzles, and the organizing case I keep them in. Included with this item is an attachment that works off the torch height control. It is attached to the machine head and when the tip goes down the shield moves out of the way. When the cutting tip goes up the shield moves under the machine head. After a plasma cut the tip keeps the flow of compressed air flowing to cool the tip. This, on a water table, makes a mess when the tip stops cutting and the air is still blowing as it blows water everywhere --for this reason for this device to cover the tip so the air flow does not blow water everywhere between cuts. A very handy tool to have on a water table. The table also comes with the TM3 pipe cutting attachment. This is brand new and unused. This is a $2000 attachment by itself and also includes it's own drive motors. I'm not sure if you are familiar with this attachment or not but it will cut anything AROUND a pipe of any size from 1" up to 12" or so in diameter. Letters, holes, lines, anything the plasma will cut flat it will also cut AROUND a pipe! Another very cool attachment to have. It has never been out of the box and will need setting up on the table before it's first use. We took the water table and had it sandblasted, put fresh new undercoating in and on the side of the water pan, and painted ALL the steel table a fresh coat of industrial black paint. So at this point the machine looks brand new and looks to have almost never been used! It looks great! This is a very low hour machine, it was used very lightly and then put into storage. With all that is listed above and all that has been done to the machine as of late with the blasting, undercoating, and fresh paint. My asking price is well under the cost when you include the extras with it. This machine looks new and cuts like it is new. There are no disappointments here. The machine's largest parts are the two tables which will bolt together. The rest of the electronics can be bubble wrapped and packed in the empty water table for shipping. Everything will fit in the water table and be secured for transport. Don't forget that this isn't just a plasma table. Depending on what you want to add, it can additionally be setup for oxy-fuel, routing, engraving, drilling, tube cutting and more. Torchmate Driver Module All new Torchmate driver software module (the program that runs the machine) has numerous new features asked for by our customers. The most notable of these is the ability to go back and start at any line within a G-code file. There is also a runtime clock that allows for more accurate billing of your customers. Torchmate Driver Software Module contains the following features not typically included with competitors software: • Generates & runs on G-code • Feed rate override with speedometer • Metric & inch measurements • Back up & start at any line of G-code • Keyboard control of torch on & off • G-code editor • On-screen torch path simulation • Real or accelerated time simulation • Program controlled dwell for plasma • Program controlled dwell for oxy-fuel • Digital readout of torch position • Plate processing time estimator • Ability to work in 3-D • Automatic dwell after pausing Torchmate CAD The Torchmate software is made up of two separate modules that work seamlessly with each other to design, and then cut your parts. This allows you to design your shapes and dry-run them in the comfort of your office, prior to going out to the shop to cut them. The CAD software module that creates your shapes requires a more powerful and expensive computer than the one in your shop that runs your machine. Keeping the two modules separate permits you to expose a slower, less costly computer to the conditions of your shop, and keep your good computer safe and protected. It also allows for you to work on designs while the table is running. The CAD Module has more functionality than anything else remotely in the price range of our machines. Its all new, state of the art features are in stark contrast with competing programs, many of which were created for Windows 3.1, and have gone unchanged for 8 or 9 years. FEATURES INCLUDE: • Full automatic nesting • Automatic kerf compensation • Metric & inch measurements • Auto lead-ins & outs • Scanned images • High number of file import formats • Text editing capability • Torch travel direction control • Creates duplicates in patterns • Full CAD drawing capability • Node editing capability • On-screen context sensitive help • Works in different layers A typical nesting procedure can result in a plate area savings of almost 50%. Taking the time to manually move the parts around on the screen would probably be more expensive than the plate that would be wasted without nesting. The CAD module is so smart that it automatically goes counter-clockwise for inside cuts and clockwise for outside cuts. This produces the best cut edges. It also automatically puts the kerf compensation and lead-ins/outs on the inside of inside cuts and the outside of outside cuts. It also knows to cut interior parts before cutting the exterior shape. This keeps the doughnut from falling out of the plate before it's hole. You have complete control of all these special features. Turn them off or on - customize the program to fit your unique needs. Arc Voltage Torch Height Control Our new and improved arc voltage torch height control (AVTHC) maintains the proper torch tip-to-work distance by monitoring arc voltage, which changes with the tip to work distance. Tip-to-work interval for monitoring is adjustable. The unit also raises the torch approximately 3” while moving between cuts to avoid collision with tip-ups (fully cut parts that have not fallen out of the plate, but have tipped up from the material). The third important feature of the height control is the ability to pierce the material at a greater height. This greatly extends the life of your consumables and decreases operating costs. Some manufacturers are vague about what their height control is. Some are a lot less ‘automatic’ than others. Tube Cutting attachment The included Torchmate tube cutting attachment enables you to perform complex operations on tubing ranging from 1” to 8” in diameter. You can perform saddle cuts in the sides of tubing, fish mouth cuts on the ends, slots, etc. The Torchmate Three is ideal for large industrial applications. It can be used with plasma, oxy-fuel, router, or tube cutter. The table size of this machine will cut 4'x 8' sheets. Precision industrial bearings, riding on ground steel rails, guide the X axis (long axis). The rollers are calibrated to grip four hardened and ground rails with zero clearance. The Y axis (short axis) is a precision linear motion multi-rail that supports a roller cassette. The cassette has eight 1” diameter needle bearing rollers at right angles to one another for consistent movement. The carriage is fitted with replaceable felt wipers at each end to insure repeatability. Motors on both sides of the gantry drive the Torchmate Three. The Torchmate Three produces twice the power of competing models. The motors powering the system utilize a rack and pinion drive train with a timing pulley and belt reduction. This setup eliminates the backlash that is present when inexpensive gearbox reductions are used. A 1” steel rail overhang protects the special 1-1/4” x 3/8” gear rack. The outside mounting of the gear racks eliminates jamming problems associated with spring-loaded upside-down gear rack designs. The primary feature of the Torchmate Three is that one side is eight inches lower than the other to permit heavy or thick plate material to be loaded with a forklift. It can also be loaded by crane or by hand. • Ideal for large volume production and heavy materials • Available as a Gantry kit, or as a Bolt Together • Sized to fit 4’x 8’ sheets • High mechanical accuracy • Easy forklift access • For plasma, oxy-fuel, or router cutting • Industrial grade electronics • Dell computer controlled • Dual drive system - X axis driven by two motors • 1800 oz. in.
