Water quality test kit for Total (M), Phenolphthalein (P), and Hydroxide Alkalinity (OH). Testing for these three forms of alkalinity allows the user to determine the actual concentrations of hydroxide, carbonate, and bicarbonate species in their water sample, with all forms of alkalinity measured as CaCO3 (ppm). Each kit is capable of measuring 75-100 tests. Comes with 5 dropper bottles of reagents, a 50 mL Erlenmeyer flask, and user instructions for the kit. This is a titrimetric kit so no color wheels or color charts are necessary. The five dropper bottles consist of these formulated reagents: Phenolphthalein Indicator, 4.5 Indicator, OH Alkalinity Reagent, Alkalinity High Range Titrant, and Alkalinity Low Range Titrant. Number of tests: 75-100 Range: Total Range 0-4000 ppm as CaCO3            >Low Range - 0-200 ppm as CaCO3            >High Range - 200-4000 ppm as CaCo3 Measurement:                          > Low Range Test - Each drop = 10 ppm as CaCO3                          > High Range Test - Each drop = 40 ppm as CaCO3  Time per test: 2-5 minutes Can be used for determining carbonate, bicarbonate, and hydroxide concentrations in closed and open-system cooling waters, boiler waters, drinking water, natural waters, pools and spas, aquariums and more.
