TOYOBO MagExtractor You're bidding on a Toyobo MFX-2000 Automatic Nucleic Acid Purification System ! The MFX-2000 is an automatic nucleic acid extraction system that uses magnetic beads to process samples quickly and inexpensively. This system can automatically extract Genomic DNA, Total RNA, Plasmid DNA, Viral RNA, or Plant Genome material using specialty reagent kits and software. This system was decommissioned from a university research lab and it is in very nice condition. There is some corrosion around the waste chute (see pictures). I used the automatic self check function to test the basic functionality, and it ran smoothly through the routine and passed all of the tests successfully. The heating and cooling blocks reach temperatures quickly and maintain setpoints accurately. The menu is displayed in Japanese characters, but the manual does show the various menu screens with the Japanese characters and the corresponding English interpretations. It has software version 3.0 (does not include viral RNA protocol), and is optioned with the heating block and the cooling block. It comes with the operation manual and Japanese manuals for genome and RNA extraction kits, 4 bags of tips, and some spare parts. I'm selling this system guaranteed working and as described.
