Additional Product Information: This unit & its included cable, was received from a recent office clean out. "This unit uses the same Analog Devices ADF4351 PLL synthesizer and is powered via a standard USB connector. The frequency range is 35 to 4400 MHz with an RF output adjustable from -55 to +10 dBm. The output level is calibrated to each individual synthesizer to +/- 1.0 dB with 90% of readings within 0.5 dB of reported power from 35 to 4000 MHz. Above 4000 MHz, the output does fall off gradually to +6 dBm at 4400 Mhz. The designer is quick to note the calibration is not NIST traceable. The Version 4 synthesizer includes a 10 MHz reference output, an external 10 MHz reference input, an FM (sine wave) input, an RF output and a USB mini port for +5V power. By applying a sine wave (5Vp-p, max) signal to the FM input, you can frequency modulate the output RF. This is a low cost RF synthesizer that covers quite a wide range, including most radiated immunity bands required by various EMC standards. While the RF output is a moderate +10 dBm output power, by using near field probes to generate strong localized fields, various parts of a product could be checked for RF susceptibility issues prior to compliance testing."
