Connect a John Deere Greenstar display to the 26-pin display cable, (compatible with display models 2630, 2600, 1800, 4640, 4240 - display not included), and plug an implement into the standard ISO port to view implement details such as number of acres / hours / bales or controller version – without needing to connect a tractor. Great for when you need to find implement details on a planter or air seeder parked in the back of a shed. No need to start a tractor or move equipment – just grab this unit from your truck, plug it in, and get the controller details you need in under 5 minutes. Equipped with a Lithium-ion 12V battery pack, switched power, and an auxiliary power port; this durable shock, splash, and dust resistant case with foam padding protects an attached Greenstar display from getting damaged in your sales trucks. Includes a 12V DC vehicle charger and a 120V AC office charger to keep the battery topped up and ready to go. It also features a ODB EDL port, if you need to update software with Service Advisor on an implement controller without access to a suitable tractor. It is recommended to use the auxiliary power cable (connected to the 7-pin trailer connector on a service truck) – to provide power to the implement controller for longer durations, to ensure the on-board battery does not die while programming with an EDL.) Priced at less than just a Greenstar harness with ISO plug, this unit is sure to save your sales team time, and more importantly, avoid them taking “guesses” on how many acres are on a machine – one underestimated mistake can pay for this unit many times over. FREE SHIPPING in Canada and the USA!     Tractor in a Box Operation This unit is designed to enable viewing of an implement controller without the need to connect to a tractor – in order to provide quick and easy retrieval of hours/acres/settings/etc. from the implement controller. Instructions Connect a compatible John Deere Display to the provided plug. (e.g. 1800, 2600, 2630, 4640, 4240) Connect the implement ISO communications plug to the unit. If using the diagnostics plug with a John Deere EDL, this can be connected as well. Using included battery pack (for reading hours on equipment, powering up display, etc.) Press the Power button. The battery status lights should indicate charge level. Do not operate if less than 50% charge. Press and hold the Constant power button for 3 seconds. The power pack lights should start flashing, indicating it is supplying constant 12V power. Using vehicle power supply (for longer-term operation – such as programming via EDL) Connect external power cable plug to rear of unit. Connect 7-pin plug to trailer outlet on compatible vehicle. If using for an extended period, avoid draining the vehicle battery completely. Depending on vehicle, key may need to be set to “ON” to supply power to the trailer outlet. WARNING – do not turn on unit’s battery pack while connected to a vehicle’s trailer outlet. With power now supplied to the unit, activate switched power via the switch on the side of the unit. The green power LED beside the switch should now be lit. (If not, check the connections – the unit is not getting power. There are also internal replaceable fuses for both battery pack and vehicle power supply.) The display should turn on. You may need to wait several minutes for the display to boot up and for the connected controllers to display. Note that you may receive a warning on some implements that indicates it is only receiving partial power – typically you can press Ok to ignore this warning. Operating the implement’s electric functions such as valves and lights requires additional power, but such should not be needed to simply view the controller screens. Access the controller screens as you would with a tractor display. Turning off When complete, turn off switched power, and wait for the display to fully power down. Once the display has shut down, turn off the battery pack, (or disconnect the trailer outlet.) Disconnect the ISO plug and any other connections and replace dust covers. Charging The ISO viewing unit should be charged between uses. It is charged via USB, and is supplied with both a 120V AC USB charger and a 12V vehicle USB charger.
