1.The trane water regulating valve assembly consists of a direct acting valve and a reverse acting valve installed on the water-out side of the unit.The direct acting valves opens in response to an increase in discharge pressure during the cooling cycle. The reverse acting valve opens in response to a decrease insuction pressure during the heating  cycle. Water regulating valves should be used where low flow and low or high fluid temperature conditions could occur. This option is beneficial  with open loop systems. The V46 pressure–actuated modulating valves come in two types of control action : direct acting or reverse acting . Direct acting V46 valves are typically used for regulating refrigerant head pressure in water cooled condensers. Reverse-acting v46N valves are typically used for bypass service on refrigerant systems and heat pump applications.  2.Can be use on geothermal installation or other projects.
