Triplett 3077 Model 2 Telephone Line Transmission Tester Test Set Measures Line Loss, Noise, Current, and Power Influence Triplett 3077 Model 2 Telephone Line Transmission Tester Test Set The Triplett Model 2 Loop Tester is a general purpose telephone transmission line tester combined with a multimeter. It is designed to provide installers and repairmen with accurate and reliable measurements without using elaborate or expensive equipment. The transmission tests performed by the Model 2 include line loss, line noise, common mode noise (Power Influence) and DC loop current. The multimeter has ranges for DC volts, AC volts and resistance. The ohmmeter selection has been specially designed to provide characteristics in accordance with Bell specifications KS-8455. Unfortunately Triplett has stopped selling these great meter/testers. As a result they are getting very hard to find, especially in unused condition. The list price was $189.
