Triplett Mini Sound Lever Meter w/Automatic Backlit Display - C Weighted TSC-MC1 Product Features The Triplett TSC-MC1 SoniChek MC Mini Sound Level Meter is a C-weighted meter with a response time of 125 mS for measuring decibel levels from 40 to 130 dB at 31.5 Hz to 8 kHz frequency to check sound levels of industrial and environmental noise, alarms, PA equipment, home theater systems, and other sound levels requiring broad frequency response. The meter captures and holds minimum and maximum readings, and displays "over" when sound levels are greater than 130 dB. It features a 1/2" electret condenser microphone for detecting sound with a foam windscreen that suppresses noise from air moving across the microphone. It has a four-digit LCD for viewing readings with a backlight for visibility in low light that turns on and off automatically via the meter's built-in ambient light sensor. The unit has a mounting thread for connecting to a tripod and molded rubber housing for a secure grip and impact resistance. It operates on a single 9V battery (sold separately) and turns off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. Sound level meters are used in outdoor, industrial, commercial, and residential applications.
