Triplett Sniff-It 2 9601 Non-Contact AC Voltage Detector with Adjustable Sensitivity Control, 5-600 VAC Style: Sniff-It 2 The Triplett 9601 Sniff-It 2 is a non-contact pen-style detector with pocket clip that finds and traces live wires from 5 to 600VAC, 60Hz. A flashing red LED and audible chirps indicate the presence of AC voltage. The flashes and chirps speed up as the detector nears the live voltage. A knob adjusts the sensitivity as required for the application; for example, to a higher sensitivity for lower voltage. Applications include detecting voltage in outlets, light bulb sockets, extension cords, appliances, power tools, circuit breakers, AC motors, video surveillance camera power, telephone, cablevision, light switches, and house trailer siding.
