This ink is suitable for all self-inking stamps that use a water-based ink (do not use with "pre-inked" stamps) and can also be used to re-ink traditional stamp pads that are used for inking traditional hand stamps. The Trodat/IDEAL Ink has a 10 to 15 seconds drying time when used on surfaces like paper, kraft paper, cardboard and other pourous sufaces where drying can occur by absorption. Ink drying MAY NOT occur when stamping on surfaces like poly, vinyl, plastic, glass, metal, photographs and other non-pourous surfaces.
