This dry block heater includes a built-in support rod holder, with an optional external temperature probe kit available. The kit monitors actual block or sample temperature, with an LED display showing actual probe temperature and adjust heater output to maintain user-defined set point. The kit includes a stainless steel probe, vertical support rod, thermometer/probe extension clamp, and hook connector. As an added bonus, this affordable block heater is UL and C-UL listed and CE marked. Please note that to avoid possible electrical hazard, the unit is designed as a dry bath/incubator and should not be filled with water or other fluids. This product from Troemner Henry, the Digital Dry Block Heaters 949302 (12621-088), is a highly functional laboratory tool that offers exceptional temperature uniformity and accuracy. It is ideal for a range of laboratory procedures, including incubation and activation of cultures, enzyme reactions, immunoassays, and melting/boiling points. The compact block heaters feature interchangeable modular heating blocks, which can hold various sample enclosures such as vials, microplates, and PCR strips, among others. Front-mounted controls with independent LED displays show actual and set point temperatures, and microprocessor control offers temperature stability of 0.1В°C. Independent controls allow users to adjust temperature settings in В±0.1В°C increments. A timer will display elapsed time or count down to zero and shut off the unit, with an audible alarm to sound when time reaches zero.
