TSI 9500 LDV Traverse Table   For sale- a TSI Model 9500 LDV Traverse Table.  I guess that is an accurate description.  Basically what I have is a very large XYZ table with a TSI 9500 controller and a TSI 9533 manual controller.  Each axis is fitted with a Sony Magnescale SR-1711R, which I assume to be a position sensor, and they appear to share a common Sony Magnescale LM22 which I assume is just a digital position readout.  All three directions of travel are powered by a Superior M112-FJ-327 stepper motor.  I actually have two of these tables, both with the same components, price is for one.  Pictures are of both tables, I used whichever picture turned out the best.   These are BIG tables; the longer axis has a label on it that says Effective Length 1050, which I assume to be the usable length in millimeters.  Which works out to a bit over 41” of travel.  The front to back axis is labeled Effective Length 550, so I guess that would work out to a little over 21” of travel.  The up/down (Z?) axis is unlabeled but looks like the same length SR-1711R as the 550 axis.  Please keep in mind that that is just speculation on my part until I can plug the things in.  I was hoping that I could find something on these on the internet, but the only thing that seems to come up for TSI 9500 is a particle size analyzer, and that is definitely NOT what I am offering.   I have removed the aluminum plate and frame they have mounted to it which will further reduce the height.  If I can get it to respond to the manual controller I will lower it to its lowest height prior to shipment as well.  At that point I will re-estimate the shipping weight.  The aluminum plate and frame contraption looks like it was there to allow something to be fitted on the side for testing rather than on the top.  I will probably hold on to one, maybe both frames and the associated hardware for at least a little while just in case your application would call for something similar.  But don’t wait too long or I will certainly scrap at least one set of them.   At the point where I have to pick them up I will try to do some limited testing with the manual control.  At that point I should be able to provide a better shipping estimate as well.  For now I am just guessing.  I have listed these as Used, but as noted they are untested.  They may work great, they may need some work.  I think it would be wise to budget for some repairs and then hopefully be pleasantly surprised if they don’t need any.  Given the shipping costs involved I don’t think offering a return privilege would be practical, so if it works when you receive it that’s great.  If it doesn’t it will be up to you to resolve any issues at your own expense.  If the risks involved exceed your risk tolerance levels, please do NOT buy them.   UPDATE: I have now retrieved both units, but thus far have not had the time to test them.  Both have been stripped of the steel I-beams and pedestal arrangement on the side.  This was to lighten them and give them a smaller footprint in my warehouse.  Based on the struggle involved offloading them I would say the remaining unit weighs in excess of 1000 pounds, and again might be charged more dimensionally depending on whether they can be lowered from their current position.  The one currently in the lower position of the two appears to be in a bit better condition, so if you buy one and don't specify that is the one I will ship first.   UPDATE 2: I finally got a chance to plug one of them in and try it, specifically the one in the first picture in the raised position.  It responds to the manual control in X, Y, and Z directions in both the fast and slow modes.  I have not run it to the extremes because the linear rail looks like it should get some light sanding and a bath of lubricant.  The ONLY thing I noticed in this limited testing was that the button on the manual remote I used would not change the setting from RUN to JOG.  I don't know if that is related to the controller or the way the system is set up.  I will try it again with the other controller and see if that changes anything.  But it did allow me to reduce the overall size of the larger of the two.  I will try to redo the listing entirely with a few new pictures of the Sony Magnescale showing the amount of change I dialed in.   Both units come from a research facility, they have not been working around the clock in a production capacity.  Please check out my other listings for more interesting lab, test, and optical equipment.  Check back often, hopefully by then I will have had a chance to check them out.   Sold as is, as described, as pictured.  Potential buyers are asked to please make sure you have read the listing carefully, and understand what you are buying.  Ebay’s condition codes for used items, which I am now required to select from, might imply a degree of functionality that my limited time, knowledge, and facilities do not allow me to ascertain.  If the functional condition of the item is known it will be stated as such in the listing.  Unless a warranty is specifically offered returns are not accepted regardless of any implied functionality.   You are also encouraged to visit my “ME” page, where my terms, conditions, and philosophy of doing business are outlined.  I don’t think anything there is outside the bounds of normal e-commerce, but they are binding on the transaction.   Shipping will be motor freight on a pallet unless you would like to come pick it up.  Shipping will be via DB Schenker.  1300 pounds will be the assumed weight of the shipment and you will be invoiced accordingly.  If the actual charged weight should turn out to be 100 pounds or more lighter then I will provide a commensurate refund.  If it is higher I will absorb the difference.  So I would estimate the shipping at between $1000 and $1500 depending on where you are in the country, and if you are a distance from the nearest terminal there could be a substantial delivery charge on top of that.  I will provide a quote specific to you, but i need the ship to zip code and I need to know if it is a business or residential delivery.  And please note that I am not willing to ship this internationally.   Typically residential delivery adds $35, a liftgate adds $35, and if you want it brought inside that is another $75 unless it takes more than one person to do it (which it would, but I don’t know that inside delivery would even be available on something this large).  So if you need it delivered to a residence and brought inside you’re looking at $145 before it even gets shipped.  I make that note because many people assume these things are just part of the shipping price.  But it takes longer for the freight company to deliver to a residence because there is always the chance nobody is home when they get there.  It’s quicker to deliver to a loading dock because the shipment can simply be rolled off with a pallet jack.  And unless they are paid extra, the driver’s delivery is complete once it is off the truck.   Crating is available but not included in the deal.  Given the size and materials required that would be an all day job by the time I purchase the materials, cut them to suit, and build it from scratch.  Figure $300 including materials and labor and it may delay shipping by as much as a week since it requires that I have a full day available just for that.   If you must use another carrier please add $75 to the winning bid to offset the extra time spent coordinating with your carrier.  It will be shipping from a warehouse with a loading dock in zip code 22943, but I do not live there!  I require pickup confirmation the day before and your carrier must be able to commit to a 3 hour window, typically 1 to 4 PM.  That allows me to have the shipment ready and waiting without having to be there all day.
