Tube furnace, 5" ID x 40", custom built, large bore, 32 kW ?? This is a high power custom built tube furnace with 5" ID and 40" of length. We do not know who made it or what the exact temperature range is, but we do know that there are two heater coils inside each measured at 0.9 ohms. Using the measured resistance of 0.9 ohms per coil, putting the coils in series, and assuming a voltage of 240 would be used, the heaters would draw 133 amps and produce 32 kW. The rating sounds high although the element coils are packed tightly so the overall element length would be very long. We do not know the actual specs of the heaters.
