For sale a RTI Tuff Chiller. The Tuff Chiller is a chiller installed into a standard tuff box that is usually used at job sites to store tools. The chiller is on casters and can easily be moved around. It has two input and output ports each with quick connects. This chiller was designed to be used for chilling wine tanks, although it could be used for a small brewery or other places where portable chilling is needed. As an example for capacity, we would connect four jacketed 350 gallon IBC totes during fermentation without problems (and using the temp controllers, at different temperatures), and it could have easily done more. In fact, the chiller is equipped with a flow valve to protect the compressor from freezing if insufficient glycol is flowing through the unit. It is rated at 3 HP and requires 3 phase 208V power. It currently has FDA food rated glycol (which is expensive!), which I will ship all I have with the unit. In the summer you can put the unit outside so that it doesn't fight your air conditioning. In the winter, if you have portable tanks you can put them outside and heat your building with the unit. I will include 4 controllers, two standard controllers and two TankNet controllers, plus the solenoids, connectors and hoses that I have. The chiller alone cost more than $11,000 new. Minor issues with the chiller: 1. There are scratches and surface rust on various parts of the unit. 2. The unit is dented in where the external quick connect ports are; unfortunately, the original shipper did not secure the load well enough and the chiller must have hit the side of the trailer, denting the connect side of the unit. However, it has no affect on the function. 3. One of the casters, while still working, probably should be replaced as the rubber on the wheel is starting to come off. 4. The unit has not been operating for over a year, and will need to be recalibrated. Will provide calibration instructions, plus the folks at RTI are very helpful with support. We have closed our winery. This chiller was a great addition when we received it and is an excellent piece of equipment. I will not ship, but if you want to order your own shipper to pick it up, I will help load it. The unit is heavy (maybe 800 pounds) and larger than pallet size.
