All Tung-Sol tubes are the more desirable black plate versions. There are three Sylvania black plates and one gray plate. The brown base tube is a black plate. Tung-Sol Tube #1 tests at 79/84 black plate Tung-Sol Tube #2 tests at 72/79 black plate (#1 & #2 are a matched pair with flat black plates) Tung-Sol #3 no printing, but the same construction as Tung-Sol #1&2, tests at 80/83 Sylvania Tube #1 rebranded "Hammond", "312" manufacturer code on tube indicates it was made by Sylvania, 1960 date code, 5U4GB/5AS4A tests at 83/87 black plate.
