Hard facing rods are used for deposition of hard metal powder on metallic surface. This is a steel tube filled with matrix of Tungsten Carbide Powder. The rods for hardfacing metal surfaces are exposed for abrasive wear. The rod‘s body  is made of thin walled mild steel pipe imbedded with super hard tungsten carbid grains (WC).  The rods are used for new ones and for restoration of worn surfaces supplying high resistant lay. After gas welding surface is to be grinded if smoothness required. For rough surfaces electric welding is recommended  even without any flux (mortar impellers).  Best results  provide hard-facing details of screw blades, rock cutting saws, asphalt cutter's teeth, lime or cement mortar impellers, earth moving machinery – details which has long lasting working contact with abrasive materials such as gravel, dolomite, sand, ore, glass particles, nailed wood waste etc. Rod diameter: 5 mm, Rod lenght:   400 mm or 16", Weigth of one rod 70gr 1 kg  contains  14 rods.
