From the Product Reference Guide located on the manufacturer's website: The SPT 1700 product family is the next generation of pen-based, one- and two-dimensional bar code scanning, pocket-sized terminals which also offer a new ruggedized design, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and optional wireless local area networking capability. The complete line of SPT 1700 products are based on the popular Palm Computing platform architecture, offering users a fast, friendly, and flexible interface for data acquisition and management. This listing is for a working pair of these devices, along with one cradle for charging/syncing, and a serial cable to connect the cradle to a PC. One scanner has its stylus, the other does not. I charged the batteries of both scanners to test them, and successfully and correctly scanned both UPC and ISBN barcodes.
