Product Description kolorMATRIX Coatings has formulated a multipurpose, acrylated system that combines excellent adhesion properties with excellent color fade resistance. The Unicoat (UC) Series is a high gloss ink with very good opacity. UC Series also has extremely high cure speeds, which works excellent with automatic multi-color units. Recommended Substrates Polystyrene, ABS, polycarbonate, top coated polyester, pressure sensitive vinyl, rigid vinyl, coated and uncoated paper, card stock, and some coated metals. UC Series will adhere to high density and fluted polyethylene, with the use of 5% Adhesion Promoter. Test print before production. Specifications Curing: 300 watt per inch lamp: Belt speeds between 40-50 feet per minute using 355-420 mono polyester meshes. Use of 5-10% UC 800 Mixing Clear will increase light penetration and improve gloss and cure. Squeegee: UV-80 Red, UV-90 White and 70/90/70 triple duometer polyurethane blades. Coverage: 3000 to 3500 sq/ft per gallon. Outdoor Use: UC Series withstood 1000 hours of exposure with 4-hour cycle times of UV light and condensation at elevated temperatures with minimal color change and marginal shrinkage. Based on prior correlations of accelerated testing versus real time Florida exposure, 500 hours is equated to approximately one year, 45° south Florida. Metallics: UC Series Metallic Mixing Clear is supplied to use in mixing metallic powders and pastes. The recommended mixing ratios are by weight: 10% silver, 18% gold 255 -305 Mesh.
