Relatively soft, easy to use with woodworking tools. Maintains flexibility even when chilled Absorbs almost no water, making it ideal for marine applications. Used in robotics, toys, and more "Foodsafe". May be used in food preparation. Notes: Stock pictures are used. Measurements are Minus 0'', Plus 0.25'' - Please note that all UHMW thicknesses will vary up to 7%. This is an industry standard and a result of the process used to make the plastic, which requires high pressure and temperature. Even a surface that appears to be flat will have variances in thicknesses up to the 7%, so users should expect to have to machine surfaces to get them perfectly flat before use. Round stock diameter may be larger than noted. WARNING- UHMW smells like a candle when it burns, but the drippings can cause 3rd-degree burns. Use caution and appropriate safety precautions.
