This is a very nice comb-bound reprint of the instruction manual for the Hickok 600A tube tester AND MUCH MORE. All of my manuals are scanned on a high end 11x17" scanner, cleaned up in Paint.net, and printed on a business class laser printer. I got the original from a retired Army Signal Corps officer. He spent the last 40 years compiling this information. The first section (17 pages) is the regular operator's manual including several pages of data for testing ballast tubes, a page listing the functions of all of the optional adapters, two sets of calibration instructions: one set for use with the special Hickok 6L6 calibration tube and another set using a variac as the standard, and a big 11x17" fold-out schematic. The next section (19 pages) is a copy of the roll chart for the 533A-600A-605A. There is no date or code number. This will save a lot of wear & tear on your roll chart. Next there are two pages of very hard-to-find testing data for Western Electric tubes. The next section (24 pages) is the "Obsolete Tube" listings code number 3200-46 dated October 1957 which covers the older tubes left off the roll chart.  You will find hundreds of old tubes listed like 0Z4, 24A, 27, 45, and 80. The next section (15 pages) is the European tube data code number 3200-7S dated 8-1-1964. Here he has written in the American and other foreign numbers for many of the tubes. There are often several European numbers for the same tube. Next are three pages of American to Foreign and Foreign to American charts. Next is an amazing 4 page section where he actually created correct test data for tubes that Hickok never provided data for. Next is a 2 page section of test data for electron ray (Eye) tubes that shows how to give them a more complete test than the regular chart does. Both of these sections he created were done for the 800A, so the switch positions are correct but for some tubes the bias settings may vary a bit on the 600A. The way to perfect them for the 600A is to test some new tubes and adjust the bias until you get the proper meter reading. The next section (9 pages) is a very good Foreign to American number chart. The next section (10 pages) crosses over those 4 digit military numbers to their regular equivalents and vice versa. The last section (10 pages) is a collection of Foreign to American cross over charts. 127 pages in all. I've wanted a book like this for years. Postage is $3.00 for Media Mail (usually 1 week), or $4.95 for Priority Mail (usually 2 to 3 days) in the USA. Foreign bidders are welcome, but please do not ask me to falsify customs documents.  Please see my Ebay store for lots of great manuals. Here is a comment from a recent buyer of this manual: Dear ziggy7, I bought one of these from you a while back and it has been a tremendous resource for me. I now have a Trip 3444 and a 539C, both in excellent condition, but, because of the data from your manual, I can't afford to get rid of my beaten up 600A. I've added tabs to the manual and it's full of yellow stickies. The manual has easily doubled the value of my tester.  Pay me securely with any major credit card through PayPal!
