Uni Kuru Toga Mechanical Pencil - 0.5mm - Pink Body Description It's going to take a true pencil expert to understand the common pencil’s dilemma but hang in there as we try and explain. With standard mechanical pencils, as you write the pencil lead is worn down until it is a slanted surface. Each time you write you will get a different experience depending on how the pencil is rotated. This can cause multiple annoyances: 1. As you start to write you might have a sharp point, but as you continue to write the point is worn down and thus your line widths are not uniform. This can also lead to smudgy and thick lines. 2. If you pick the pencil up and happen to start writing with the tip of the angled point, it is likely to scratch or catch on the paper. 3. The different angles at which the pencil lead comes in to contact with the paper is a common cause of lead breakage. The Kuru Toga, on the other hand, has a core rotation mechanism that continually rotates the pencil lead as you write. The lead is twisted through a spring-loaded clutch, it works by twisting incrementally every time you lift the pencil up (i.e. during printing words, etc). This allows a uniform wearing of the pencil lead so that it always remains as a pointed tip. Not only does it solve the above problems, but it also gives you an amazingly thin line. You are effectively using only 50% of the lead area that you were previously using with your old mechanical pencil. Thus, a 0.3 mm Kuru Toga will write incredibly thin lines and have less breakage than a standard 0.3 mm mechanical pencil. We currently ship packages within the United States and its outer lying territories. International customers please contact us for special shipping instruction. All shipments are automatically insured for customers protection and require a signature upon delivery. There is no tracking service available for deliveries via US Postal Service. We recommend that someone be available to accept the package. For security reasons, we will only ship to street addresses, not to PO Boxes. Shipping charges are based on the total weight or dimensional weight of your order but your items may arrive in more than one box. Orders will be processed and shipped once we receive payment authorization and shipped within 3-5 business days if in stock. 3TeShop does not guarantee a delivery date for items that are out of stock and/or backordered. 3TeShop is not liable for shipping time or delays that occur after item is in transit. Buyer must notify us for any special shipping arrangements. All shipments that are refused or undeliverable are subjected to additional shipping costs and/or the restocking fee of 25%. If you have received an incorrect item, please notify us within 5 days of receiving the item. Damaged/Lost Items All items purchased from 3TeShop are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. We are not responsible or liable for items that you receive that is damaged by the shipping carrier such as UPS, FedEx, or the US Post Office. Upon delivery of the items please inspect the product boxes; if they are damaged refuse the delivery or report the damaged items to the shipping carrier and request the carrier to investigate and inspect the damaged items and send 3TeShop a copy of the inspection report. It is imperative that you request the carrier to contact 3TeShop at 626-369-222. Do not install or use if items have physical damage when it's received. 3TeShop shall under no circumstances be liable for special, incidental, or consequential damage, including loss of profit, when using, installing, or operating items purchased by customer. Return of Product Purchased at 3TeShop All sales are final at 3TeShop. There will be absolutely NO REFUNDS. All orders in transit cannot be cancelled. In case a manufacturing defect is found or you have received an incorrect item, we will provide a replacement or exchange for incorrect items, but all manufacture defective items must be forwarded to original manufacturer for warranty return. (Returned items will be on an exchange only basis.) Requests for replacement or exchanges are only allowed within 5 days of delivery date. Return authorization is required from 3TeShop for any returned items, and can be obtained by calling us at 626-369-2222 . Please contact us prior to returning any items. Otherwise the return will be void. Each item must be returned in the original condition as it was sent. Include all original material sent with the item. Damaged goods due to client negligence will not be accepted. C.O.D. shipments will not be accepted. Return/Shipping Policy Must follow RMA / Return Process.
