Union Special Industrial Sewing Machine Condition: Used. Working condition: unknown.  What a unique Union Special sewing machine to own! We have never seen one like this before! Union Special Sewing Machine – Awesome vintage find to add to your vintage sewing machine collection. A nice item for shelf decor, a great industrial piece of glove making history. Acquired from Fownes, Glove Manufacturer, a trusted name in gloves, and fashion accessories for over 235 years. Also could be used for: photography props, set design, home decor, a nice addition to your antiques or vintage shops and more! Know any sewing machine collectors out there?  History: In early 1948, “Union Special Machine Company” (as it was then called) purchased the “Fencil Plant”, a manufacturer of gaskets for machinery, in Huntley, Illinois. At that time the manufacturing plants for Union Special Machine Company were located in Germany, and the office and main manufacturing were in Chicago. (See BONUS below about Parts Catalog) This item is definitely one to consider! Sold as is.
