This is a VERY nice machine coming out of a lab environment. Please read entire description for the good bad and the ugly. This machine is in great condition and appears to have been used for mostly marking metal instruments. The lab opted for all of the goodies! Filtration add on which was a almost $4000.00 upgrade! Yes the stand is dual functional. Acts as a rolling stand / cart and doubles as an air filter system. Also included is universals patented HPDFO lense system which was a $3000.00 add on! I'll copy and paste the info from Universals website but fdom my understanding it gives the laser 5x more power for a vast amount of materials and can engrave on metal which normally would need a fiber laser! In there example they say a 150w laser with an HPFDO lense would be equivalent to a 1000w laser??? So that would put this little 30w tube up to 200w (please call universal for exact details) Also includes the rotary attachment 1300.00 value and down draft vector cutting grid 650.00 value. Total price of upgrades were about $9000.00 The bad..... Tube needs recharged. At this time we are selling it needing a tube recharge (850.00 at evergreen laser) we usually would send them out but figured we would price to move quickly. If it doesnt sell in a couple weeks we will have tube sent out and raise the price. More on HPDFO The smaller focal spot size produced by HPDFO concentrates all of the laser energy into a smaller diameter, dramatically increasing the power density at focus. This allows systems to mark directly onto materials such as steel and titanium. Without HPDFO direct marking would require specialty marking compounds, substantially more laser power, or lasers of a different wavelength, such as fiber lasers, which are typically much more expensive than their CO2 counterpart. By way of example, a 150 watt laser configuration using HPDFO would have the equivalent power density of a system using over 1,000 watts. With this patented option, the utility of CO2 laser systems is dramatically expanded, enabling a CO2 only system to effectively process many more materials than it would otherwise be capable of processing.
