I am liquidating a large amount of upscale wood library shelving, beautiful solid maple, gently used and bargain-priced to move quickly. This is a rare one-time opportunity to get high end shelving for less than what the cheap stuff usually costs. The wood is light-colored maple with solid maple shelves. Clouds came and went while photographing, altering the appearance. I believe the sunlit photos best represent the true light golden color, but I’m partially color-blind. The sides and tops have very thick veneer over solid wood core. These are double-faced library shelves, each shelf 11.5”x35”x3/4”. The sides are 24.25”x82”x1”, double faced (two sets of shelves back to back). I counted 165 sides, with the tops, bottoms, shelves, and bolts needed for assembly. I believe there are approximately 150 double-sided sections, with 6 shelves (including the bottom) on each of the two sides. That's a capacity of about 150x2x6=1800 yards of books (about a mile). (I will try to confirm the exact count of the various parts.) This shelving is disassembled (except for one demo section), on 20 pallets, in storage in Northern Virginia. Condition is excellent, with some moving labels, a little light soil (easy to clean off), and some light normal wear. They were carefully disassembled and transported by a professional moving company. I have not seen a manufacturer’s label, just the stamped number 41261. Comparable new shelving is offered online for over $150,000 (e.g., the Brodart website offers comparable new shelving for $1285 per starter section and $1068 per adder section). The sale is final (no returns). I have tried to describe it accurately, but sale is AS IS, WHERE IS. Inspection prior to purchase is strongly encouraged and available by appointment at a storage facility in Calverton, Virginia (Fauquier County, about 50 miles southwest of Washington, DC).
