Sell smart with BlurryRobot!  We can vouch for the effectiveness of these Sona currency detectors, because we use them in our store.  One end is fitted with a small UV light, the other end is fitted with a magnetic pickup.  Run the magnetic pickup over bills printed with magnetic ink (such as the black ink on larger US bills) and you will hear a little tweet if the bill is authentic (Holding it in one place does NOT work. You have to hold it against the bill and swipe it.  And the green side doesn't work either.) The UV light is used to verify the fluorescent, embedded thread or strip which runs across the bill, to the right of the head of the Dead President on each of the larger bills.  You may need to hold the bill in a shadow to see this well, as the glow tends to be muted by the layer of paper fibers which covers the strip.  These work on many non-US currencies, as well. These electric detectors can find counterfeits that pass the pen test. Be safe, don't be sorry!   You can also use the UV light to search for vaseline glass, as we do.  Two brand-new detectors are included in this lot.
