For Auction: One of the last of the great analogue oscilloscopes, the AN/USM-281 made byHewlett-Packard for the US Navy. If you are old school or prefer old school electronics, this would be a nice scope. It is maintainable and parts are accessible. See sample photos. It has a lower belly fuse box with half a dozen circuit points fused & identified (a really nice touch). Does not come with probes but will use any standard generic probe. Documentation is all over the web but I can supply some of it on CD for the buyer if wanted. Self calibration is okay and the CRT has plenty of life left in it. I recommend running this off 115VAC. Condition: Used. Powers up fine & basic functions appear to be working normally. The self calibration check (square wave panel output) tests normally. The buttons have been used so little in the last few years that they need to be burnished in (used). I power this up now and then to keep the caps alive and have to exercise the buttons for awhile to get them responding. After that, you just need to use the scope. Not all features and functions have been verified as we are not engineers or technicians. This scope is offered strictly as is but guaranteed not DOA. Shipping: This is a pick-up only item because of fragility, size & especially the weight. When an item gets this heavy, the weight works against itself and if dropped, even the best packing in the world is not totally safe. If you absolutely, positively, have to have this shipped, I am willing to go the distance if you cover all costs & work with me. This involves having a heavy duty dual wall box made, buying resilient sponge foam of a good durometer and using FedEx Ground. Please contact me BEFORE bidding if you think you want to go this route. Shipping reduces my income because eBay now adds all shipping charges to the sale price and looks at that bundle for its PAYPAL deduction and auction fees.
