 CORUZZI PERFORMANCE DESIGN All of our tools are made in the USA. This right hand lathe turning tool is precision machined from durable 4140 alloy steel. 4.0 inches long special with a 1/2" square shank, for extra reach and more clamping surface. Carbide insert pocket is precision cnc machined and features tapered walls and chip build-up clearance, makes for very precise insert changes. It takes a standard TCMT 21.51 carbide insert which is a nice size insert for 1/2" lathe tooling and very easy to find replacements.(here on ebay) Also the insert number is engraved right on the side of the tool so you will always know what kind of inserts to buy for it. The insert can be rotated to a new cutting edge fast and without changing lathe settings. The 4140 alloy steel is a good strong material with great wear resistance, it can also be heat treated to become super hard and almost indestructible if you feel the need. The tool comes with 1 TCMT 21.51 CM14 Cobra carbide insert already installed, an extra screw and a 2.0mm wrench. The screws now have a much improved bigger stronger 2.0mm allen hex head. You can also use the torx style screws that usually come with this type of insert tool. This is a nice affordable lathe tool to add to your tool box, because we all know you can never have enough tooling for your machines.
