USB data cable for Current Cost ENVI & EnviR power monitor Thousands of cables sold worldwide! Length approx 1.7m/5ft 6ins (if required, you can add a USB extension cable up to a total of 5m long). This handy cable allows you to connect your Current Cost meter to your computer. You can then run software on your PC to analyse your energy use, upload data to the web and much more. Please visit the meter manufacturers website for more information and a list of software here. One end of the cable has an 8 pin modular jack (RJ45) which connects to the data port on the meter. The other end has a USB plug which connects to the PC's USB port. The cable contains a USB to serial converter, so the meter appears as a COM port on the PC. Avoids driver problems often encountered with cheaper Prolific PL2303 cables, instead using the much better supported SiLabs CP2102 chipset and is guaranteed to work with the following operating systems: Windows 8 and 8.1 Windows 7 Windows Server 2008 Windows Vista Windows Server 2003 Windows XP Windows 2000 Linux Mac 32 and 64 bit operating systems are both supported.
