This machine is designed specifically for producing perfect shaft blanks from 1" maple dowels for billiard cue makers. Center to center capacity is 32". It utilizes a gear motor and a router. The lead screw and main spindle are chain driven (# 25). the tail stock centers are live (ball bearing).The approximate time travel is 6 to 7 minutes for a 30" dowel. The machine cuts four blanks per cycle using four carbide six fluted cutters rotating at approximately 25 thousand RPM. The cross slide is spring loaded and has a ball bearing cam follower. It has vacuumed connection for dust control. The feed and speeds can be changed by changing the sprockets ( additional sprockets not included). This machine can produce enough shaft blanks for you and other billiard cue makers. This Item is crated and ready for shipment. L 58" x W 24" x H 20" . Weight is approx. 335 Lbs. NOTES: In the early days when I first started making cues, I bought my shaft blanks from BURTON SPAIN. Later it became necessary to produce them myself. My cues were featured in the book "HISTORY OF BILLIARDS" First edition published by Victor Stein of New York.
