The cover plate consists of solid aluminum, the base plate is made from hard plastics. This makes for an extremely rigid sandwich construction that has many advantages. In contrast with a magnet clamping plate, non-magnetic materials such as aluminum, brass, copper or plastic sheets can also be clamped here. Operation can be completed via practically every vacuum pump. Attempts with a normal vacuum cleaner promise great success; a connecting adapter is included in the delivery contents. Material smaller than 1/3 the size of the table may require additional vacuum generation other than a shop vac. Not recommended for holding of wood products thicker than veneer.
