Machine was bought 18 years ago from a closing Whirlpool plant in South Carolina. It had just came back into the plant a month earlier from having a full mechanical rebuild; reground plattens, rebuilt toggle clamp, etc. It never made it back into production prior to plant closure; all exposed metal was still covered in Cosmoline when it arrived at our facility in Randleman, NC. The Cumberland 8"x10" re-grinder was included in the purchase.  The machine was purchased to make one component in a product line we designed, manufactured, and marketed. As the balance of our facility is CNC milling, CNC turning, CNC tube bending, and stamping; this was our only plastic injection molding press. The mold that's in the machine today has been in the machine for 18 years without having been removed. It produced the single plastic injection molded part in our product line; why take it out?  We built the mold in house; a simple two cavity tool that produced a RH and LH in a single shot that completed a ready for market unit. The machine was LITERALLY ran only ONE day per YEAR for a total of approximately 12 hours on that day. With a 30 second cycle time, we could produce a years worth of product in a single day; very different than CNC machined racing components. The machine would set idle for the other 364 days each year; spare days that it was turned on and functionality checked every 3 to 4 months.  This would make someone a perfect first press, it would easily go right into production in a 24/7 molding facility, great for tool builders and repair shops for test shots; even sneak the included tool back in the machine once a year for half a day.......that 12 hours of product would MORE than pay for the machine at my "Buy It Now" asking price. I'll include a list of names and numbers of all dealers and distributors of the part made with this machine to the buyer; if they're interested.   There are no known issues with the machine; the pictures speak volumes. It's a little dusty, but cleans up nicely. What you see is what you get. Feel free to set up an appointment to inspect the machine under power in our Randleman, NC facility. Will actually shoot a part for parties interested enough to issue a P.O. based on satisfactory inspection. ****NOTICE................BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL RIGGING AND SHIPPING CHARGES!!!!!
