Up for sale is a Varian X-band Traveling Wave Tube (TWT), model# VTH-6272D1, for use in the 7-11GHz range. This is a dual mode TWT specified for 100W CW and 400W pulse. I do not have the official datasheet, but I still have my notes from using it many years ago for getting 100W CW at 10GHz. Ef= 6.3V, If=1.6A Eh=9.1kV, Ih=5mA max. Ec=4.5kV, Ec=120mA max. It furthermore mentions a Grid voltage of -60V for 100W CW. The specified gain should be 35dB. It was measured as >30dB at 10GHz. This was many years ago. I cannot do a full performance test for this TWT at this moment. I did check the tube to be electrically  functional by running the filament, putting 1kV on the helix and collector and check if I could regulate the helix current with the negative grid voltage. This worked well, so the tube is certainly not leaking.  This TWT is conduction cooled so it needs to be mounted on a big heatsink.  The TWT has a WR102 waveguide at its output. I have been using it with WR90 waveguides. A taper from WR102 to WR90 is included as well as a short piece of WR90 flex I used as stress relieve for the TWT waveguide. PayPal only.
