Varostop® - strips What is Varostop® : Varostop is made of  thin wood strips impregnated with active substance flumethrin.  Each strip contains 3.6 mg flumethrin (Flumethrinum).  Each pack contains 10 strips. Indications : For treatment , prevention and diagnosis of varroatosis among bees. Contraindications : Do not use during the honey plant. How does Varostop® work : the active substance Flumethrin (synthetic pyrethroid) is extremely selective and  has a  reliable contact insecticidal and acaricidal activity against Varroa Destructor mite ( cause of Varroasis ) . It features high acaricidal activity - up to 100%. Flumethrin paralyzes the nervous system of the mites and significantly reduces their population . Varostop does not make adverse reactions on the bees, the brood and the queen . How to use :  Depressurize strips immediately before use ! The strips are put (hung down) among the frames ( the easiest way is to fold the strip at one of the ends as shown on the pictures ) . Put the strips after one or two frames where the bee family  and  larvae is .  When crawling on the strips, the bees take on their bodies , limbs, wings, from the active substance and carry it around all over the hive through their social behavior.   Tip : for best results, apply simultaneous at all bee familys ( maximum efficacy when applied simultaneously by all bee-keepers in your area ) Dosing :  For swarms and weakly developed bee families: 1-2 strips ( as the family on the pictures ) For normally developed and strong bee families: 2-4 strips. The strips should remain in the hive for 35 days, but not more than 6 weeks. For diagnostic of Varroatosis - put a  white piece of paper on the bottom of the bee hive and keep  the strips 24 hours , after that remove the paper and count the death mites . When to use :  early Spring - when the bee colony larvae and pupae Prepupa occupy little space. in the Summer : in late July - early August, when the Queen bee is limited to lay eggs , the area with larvae is small and the remaining area is filled with honey , so the majority of the female mites are on the bees. Processing is carried out immediately after pumping the honey. Storage: in a dry and ventilated place at temperatures between 15 ° and 30 ° C. Protect from direct light. Keep away from heat sources and out of the reach of children. Manufactured in Bulgaria / E U / Shipping time to EUROPE is 4 - 10 business days, to USA is 8 - 22 business days.
