This lathe appears to be an unused TRADE SHOW DEMO in working condition but will require some electrical repairs and replacement parts. The manual panel controls on the upper left front as shown in photos will not operate the motor in forward or reverse but we managed to manually operate the lathe motor in one direction with the Yaskawa G7 inverter motor controller and green push button on the front panel as shown in our video. The green tubular resistors appear to be defective and is not currently connected to the controls and probably are required to allow the manual and automated machine controls to operate normally. It also appears that the the resistors that are part of the variable control system have overheated and melted the plastic case on the inverter controller and some other plastic components inside the control panel. (SEE LAST PHOTO) The inverter, contactors, and other electrical components appear to operate fine despite the heat damage. All of the other mechanical functions of the lathe including the speed selector for the gear head and the threading speed controls appear to operate fine with no issues. The coolant system, gear head oil pump system and the work light operate fine. The side fiberglass belt cover has a 6" section of damage. Has minimal signs of use like a few metal shavings on various sections of the lathe. Please refer to our Photos and Video for details. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
