I HAVE FOR SALE A VINTAGE FOURNET "DUAL CHECK" DENTAL ARTICULATOR. IT IS IN EXCELLENT COSMETIC AND FUNCTIONAL CONDITION AND IS ONE OF THE BEST KEPT SECRETS OF THE DENTAL LABORATORY INDUSTRY.  I PERSONALLY USED THIS INSTRUMENT IN MY PROSTHODONTIST PRACTICE FOR RAPID SETTING OF 33 DEGREE POSTERIOR TEETH.  THE MX AND MN SPHERICAL TEMPLATES MAKE DIFFICULT SET UPS FAST AND EASY. YOU CAN OBTAIN OPTIMAL OCCLUSAL PLANE AND ANTERIOR COSMETICS RAPIDLY WITH LITTLE DIFFICULTY.  I ALSO USED THIS INSTRUMENT TO FABRICATE PORCELAIN AND FULL CAST GOLD ORAL RECONSTRUCTIONS WITH PERFECT ANTERIOR AND POSTERIOR COSMETICS.  WITH SLIGHT MODIFICATION OF THE FLAT TEMPLATES, I USED THIS INSTRUMENT FOR SETTING FLAT PLANE OCCLUSION TO PASS THE NEVADA STATE DENTAL BOARD EXAMINATION IN 1998.  THIS LANDMARK ARTICULATOR IS BASED ON GYSI, BALKWILL, WALKER AND HAGEMAN SPERICAL OCCLUSION THEORY.   FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION GOOGLE THE PATENT APPLICATION:    Method and apparatus for making dental restorations, US2270629A. FournetManufactured By:  The Prosthetic Dental Company, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania US Patent:  2270629 Description: The Fournet “Dual Check” Articulator is a hinge instrument that utilizes mounting devices with flat plane and spherical arc templates for setting denture teeth, both mounted from vertical posts.  The “Dual Check” was designed according to Monson’s Spherical Theory; however, it was also designed for grinding in the denture teeth to conform to arcs of selected radii, if required. The articulator incorporated a convex template for setting mandibular teeth and a concave template for setting the maxillary teeth. The templates were converted into grinding devices by applying sandpaper discs to the surfaces and rotating them against the teeth by turning the hand crank. THIS INSTRUMENT IS BEING LISTED "AS IS".
