This listing is for a Victoreen Model 90 geiger counter paired with a 493-50 GM probe sensitive to beta and gamma radiation. The Model 90 has a display of 0-100 microSieverts per hour. The meter also displays probe high voltage and battery condition. It has four ranges x0.1, x1, x10, and x100 of scale. The built in speaker can be turned on or off and response time adjusted by toggle switches mounted on front panel. The Model 90 can be used with virtually any probe due to the adjustable high voltage and calibration adjustments for each of the four ranges. I have checked this unit with a Cobalt 60 source to show that it works. It requires only two D cell batteries for operation. The Cobalt 60 source and batteries are NOT included. I  WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY LIABILITY FOR THE USE OF THESE IN ANY SAFETY RELATED FIELD. I have no way to verify calibration so they are being listed as used and sold as-is.
