This vintage geiger counter survey meter dates back to the late 1950's or early 1960's. The instrument has a lot of paint chipping off but it still looks really cool. This does not function but it does makes a great display piece! Perfect for the "Atomic Age" aesthetic! This model is unique for its detachable probe detector that serves as the handle. It also has a "phone" plug for headphones. The box is completely aluminum. It was originally used to detect beta and gamma radiation. There is a mark on it saying it was last calibrated in 1973. This is a CDV-700 Model No. 6B. Ser. No. 37536. Dimensions: 8" x 7" x 5" Please email with any questions before placing your bid. 100% Guaranteed to be as described.
